Westerner Days Parade

Today we took the boys to their first ever parade. I was a little bit nervous because I have heard about babies HATING the parade and crying the ENTIRE time...luckily we had three fellas that liked the parade! They waved, clapped and watched most of the parade...well at least Matty did, the other two liked it but also got fairly squirmy by the end! Here are the pictures :)

I did not want to put their shoes on until we got there because they have been known to pull them off during the car ride, so I just had them sitting in the front, I LOVE that I have these three WONDERFUL boys and all 6 of thier shoes hahaha! The gang lined up ready for the parade to start.

Let the squirmming begin!

Grammy taking Nate for a little pre-parade explore.

Matty saving my spot for me, what a sweetie :)

There was a group of people dressed in green in the parade and all of a sudden GAK appeared...she ran through the parade to meet up with us! Here she is with Nate the Great!

Matty showing me something in the parade.
The boys all fell asleep on the drive home...Luc with Scortchy's tail in his mouth...we rarely see him asleep without this tail in his mouth these days!!

Father's Day Fun

Since it is father's day I just want to start this post by sharing a little bit about what kind of a father John is. When John and I first started dating I knew he would be a great dad, what I did not know was that he would exceed every single expectation that I could have ever had for him. He is the most hands on dad that I have EVER met, and the boys and I love him to pieces. He is the dad that rushes in when he gets home from work because he can't wait to play with his boys. He is the dad that can get his boys laughing like nobody else can. He is the dad that brings lysol wipes to costco to clean the carts because he does not want his boys to get sick. If one of the boys gets up in the night John gets him and rocks him back to sleep. If one of the boys fall over he rushes to get them and make sure that they are okay. He has their favorite commercials on the PVR and ready to go if the boys feel the need to dance. John could beat anybody that I know at changing a diaper, getting a baby in their carseat, making a batch of bottles, or taking out the garbage...this guy is as great as they come. I am SO unbelievably lucky to have John as my partner in life and the dad of my boys. Here are some pictures from our day!
The boys and I found an Oiler's chair for John that matches theirs...SO CUTE!!! We NEED to go camping...or at least sit around a fire! The boys playing in Grammy and Grandpa's yard
Our Father's day BBQ this year was a golf theme so we had a long drive contest...with a marshmallow! It was quite funny to watch and try!!!
Me enjoying the sun and the great company!
Matty and G-pa playing around
Grammy and Luc playing with the tree!
GG-ma and Luc playing in Aunty K's drink tub
It was pretty warm outside and the boys were pretty messy from their supper so we stripped them down and let them play in G-pa and G-mas pool! hahaha

Just like the alligator pool Nathan was more interested in getting in and out than he was in actually just being in the "pool"

Nathan not quite sure being naked in the grass is the best idea!

Here are the cupcakes that we made for dessert
(Amy they are from the cupcake book!!!)

Farmers market

Today was the first farmers market of the 2010 season. I have been excited about taking the boys for quite sometime now. The weather was not as nice as we had hoped but we bundled them up and it was a lot of fun!
Here is GG-ma, GAK, Grammy and the boys (the big bubble behind them is Red Deer's new indoor tennis center...just incase you were wondering!).Here is GG-ma pushing the boys around the market.
Nate taking in all the sights!
Matty happy to be out at the market.
Luc clearly excited to be there! hahaha
Me and my little loves
Lucas fell asleep by the end, it was a little past naptime!
Matthew zonked out too!
Nathan was too excited to fall asleep! I think that he was actually hoping for some of my lemonade!
Bones has taken quite a liking to the boys leftovers...real food AND bottles. She jumped up onto the couch, knocked this one over, jumped down and then drank from it like a fountain. What an innovative pup!

Aunty Val stopped by today and brought the boys the most wonderful gifts. As much as the boys love them I think that their dad might even love them a little bit more! Baby Oilers chairs!

Here is Lucas Christopher looking like a big boy...where did my baby go?

Matthew Owen happy to be an oilers fan...he obviously does not remember much of the last season!

Today we went over to Aunty K's for the third annual mothers day brunch (last weekend didn't work for everyone so we switched it!).

Family Shot! I LOVE this one!
This was what was happening on the other side of the camera to get all of the boys to sit still for 2 seconds! Thanks to these three for making it possible to get a family picture!
It was so nice outside that we decided to go out and get a pool for the boys to splash around in. Here is daddy blowing it up!
And here are the boys playing with it...it was fun before it was even blown up! We did not end up getting to use the pool today but the forecast looks great so I am sure we will be out there soon!
