New Friends and Great Friends

One of the best parts about the holidays is getting to spend so much time with family and friends. Today the boys got to meet a new friend, little miss Avery Rene Kawahara (I have been waiting for a time to use pink!!!). Today was her 4 week birthday and we were all glad that we got the chance to finally meet her. Lucas was a little fussy while she was here...maybe because it was the first time that there has been someone smaller than him in the same room! Tonight Adam and Mel and Amber came over to stay with the boys while John and I went out for supper! What a treat. We are pretty lucky about being able to get out to get stuff done but it seems like we always have a list with 20 things to do and we get through about 10 so there is no time for much other than errands! Tonight we went out for a nice supper and then a quick Costco run (might as well get one of the errands done when we can!). It was the weirdest feeling to sit at the restauraunt and wait for our meals...neither of us could think of the last time that we have sat with nothing to do...it actually made me feel a little uneasy!!! Christmas take two!

So today we celebrated Christmas with the Alexander side of the family. We packed the boys up and headed out first thing (our first thing is about 9:00ish).

Here are our three little fellas with their new buddies. We put them in their carseats for the drive out and when we got there we unzipped the covers and found Lucas with both of his arms wrapped around Scortch, Nathan was giving Jeepers Peepers kisses and Matthew and Bear were face to face checking each other out! Merry Christmas...

So this morning after the boys got up we fed them and threw them in their carseats to head over to Grandma and Grandpa's house...none of us even got out of our pjs!

The boys had a WONDERFUL first Christmas! They were absolutely spoiled as usual and it was great to be able to spend the day with a bunch of people that we all love!

So today's activity was to go over to Grammy and Grandpa's for the Christmas Eve party and get pictures taken with Santa!

So this year we decided to start a new tradition...Christmas Eve KFC!!! mmmmm, so good, and the boys could not take their eyes off of the chicken! One more year boys!

The boys opened their first Christmas present before bed tonight and they each got a beautiful Christmas book. We read all three tonight before bed and I am sure that we will read them for years to come!
